The selling process in 5 steps
Curious where to begin in your selling journey? Consult our guide for information regarding first steps and starting points.
Given the complexities of foreign sales, we recommend that you seek independent advice from a financial and legal advisor as the following information should be treated as informal.
A recent professional valuation helps determine a competitive asking price aligned with the market state and demand.
A tailored marketing strategy for the property including highāquality photography, targeted online exposure, curated client outreach, and coordination of viewings to maximise visibility and attract qualified buyers.
For Spanish residents, capital gains tax rate ranges approximately from 19% to 28%, depending on the gain. Exemptions may apply in specific cases. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified tax advisor or lawyer to receive personalised guidance.
For non-residents, the capital gains tax rate is 19% for EU citizens and 24% for non-EU citizens.
This is a local tax based on increase in valor catastral of the property since purchase.
If funds need to be transferred internationally, using a currency exchange specialist may help secure favourable rates and reduce transaction fees during the sale process.
