The 16th arrondissement is Paris’s largest and greenest quarter. Chic and family-friendly, it offers easy access to parks such as the Bois de Boulogne and the Jardin du Ranelagh, as well as some of the city’s best schools.

Why is it primed for growth?
The quarter is filled with a mix of classic Haussman-style stone buildings and more recent construction with rooftop terraces and large balconies. With demand growing for green spaces and wellness, the 16th is attracting young and old.
My favourite bits:
Recent additions such as La Grande Epicerie, the high-end food hall attached to venerable department store Bon Marché, and the Philippe Starck-designed Brach Hotel.
What will my money buy me?
A large, luxurious four-bedroom apartment in the heart of the Victor Hugo neighbourhood is currently available at €3.15 million, while €1.14 million will buy a two-bedroom apartment on the Rue Faustin-Hélie with sweeping views over the neighbouring gardens.

At the weekend, after a nice walk in the Bois de Boulogne, hop on the taxi-boat to Le Chalet des Iles for brunch. Or spend a day at the Brach Hotel, enjoying the swimming pool, yoga classes and fitness room before lunch or dinner with a menu created by Adam Bentalha.
