St Moritz is a major player in the art world, with the Segantini Museum – dedicated to the painter Giovanni Segantini – housed in a stunning stone building listed as a Swiss World Heritage site being a prime example.

Gastronomy in St Moritz is never short of absolute perfection, with 13 of its restaurants listed in the Michelin Guide (six of which are Michelin-starred).

With exceptional local produce and cuisine, many of the restaurants focus on traditional Alpine, country and Swiss cooking but several of the international resort’s eateries, including those at 1,800 metres and the dizzying 2,400 metres, take inspiration from French, Asian and Mediterranean cooking.

St Moritz benefits from being in the Graubünden wine region, with red Pinot Noir and white Pinot Gris making up most of its production. The town has a cluster of enticing bars and clubs where the best local wines and international brands are readily enjoyed.

The country’s efficient and well-connected high-speed rail network provides excellent access across the Graubünden canton, while the Bernina Express provides a stunning Alpine rail journey to St Moritz from Chur.
