I’ve gone full circle; I moved from the European Investment team in London to Paris in 2008 before returning five years later then, in 2015, being recruited once more to the team in Paris.

Working in a foreign country has been hugely enriching; I’ve experienced a different culture, met new people, obtained experience of the Parisian market and am now fluent in French (after struggling to keep up with some very fast French-speaking meetings!). Being in Paris when the European market went into freefall in 2008-9 was challenging, but taught me a great deal and has given me a real appreciation of one of the world’s largest commercial property markets.
