The region immediately surrounding the village of Vitznau alongside Lake Luzern is designated as a ‘holiday zone’ so this means that a non-resident may buy in this area. The rest of the canton however, does not allow a purchase without a residents permit.

Living in Luzern

A German speaking canton, the capital, Lucerne, is a charming town of squares and churches. Two covered, wooden bridges and an octagonal tower overlooking the river create a fairy tale scene. Life here is unaffected, easy going and cosmopolitan.
