Bouches du Rhône in a nutshell

A perennial favourite. Properties in this village, more often than not, have been tastefully restored to the highest possible standards.

This small and tranquil village has been extremely well cared for over the years by its residents. Prettily manicured stone houses line the winding streets. The main route through the village leads upwards to a ruined castle and church at the top of a hill, from where one can look out over olive groves, vineyards and beyond across a vast expanse of simply gorgeous scenery.

There is wonderful market on Fridays selling traditional Provencal wares and food.

Les Baux de Provence

A prestigious and highly sought after location. Properties have generally been renovated to the highest standards.

Built almost seamlessly into a rugged limestone outcrop, Les Baux de Provence is, without doubt, one of the most beautiful villages in France and commands one of the most spectacular positions in Les Alpilles.

The village, in true Provencal style, is a delightful network of narrow cobbled streets and shaded terraces; many with stunning views across the plains to the south. All crowned by a ruined castle, the Chateaux des Baux, as romantic a scene as if Charles Perrault himself had simply dreamt it up and as magical a place as you might find in any one of his famous fairytales.
