_Properties for sale in London under £500,000 to buy before the stamp duty holiday ends
Following the announcement last year from the UK’s Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak, that property under £500,000 will be exempt from paying stamp duty until March 31, 2021, it was further good news in the recent Budget reveal that the deadline has now been pushed forward to June 30, 2021.
After that, the stamp duty threshold will be lowered to £250,000 which will still result in substantial savings, until the end of September, before eventually returning to the usual level of £125,000 from October 1, 2021.
