_Knight Frank expands its London network with new Woolwich office

Knight Frank has increased the scope of its London operations by opening a new sales and lettings office in Woolwich.
April 26, 2018

The new office is based in the Royal Arsenal Riverside development, where Knight Frank is an instructed agent, continuing its strong relationship with Berkeley Homes, the developers of the scheme.

The move to expand into Woolwich follows the success of Knight Frank’s recent office openings, many of which are situated within or near new developments that Knight Frank is instructed to sell and let. In the last few years, Knight Frank has introduced sales and lettings teams into sites in Aldgate, Tower Bridge, Victoria & Westminster and Battersea & Nine Elms to great effect.

The move gives Knight Frank a presence in one of the largest regeneration projects in Europe, with the Royal Arsenal Riverside scheme at the heart of it. Analysis of Knight Frank and Land Registry data shows that average sales prices in Woolwich rose 102% between 2008 and 2017, highlighting the surging demand in the area.

Marie Wale has already been appointed to lead the lettings team while an announcement will soon be made about the head of the sales team.

Andrew Groocock, Regional Sales Head at Knight Frank, said: “This is an intriguing prospect for Knight Frank to expand our business in an area that is subject to such exciting development plans over the coming years. Our focus will be on Royal Arsenal Riverside but as with all of our new development-based offices, we will be expanding our reach in due course to advise anyone looking to buy or sell in Woolwich.”

Gary Hall, Regional Lettings Head at Knight Frank, said: “With Marie already in place we are looking forward to hitting the ground running. Royal Arsenal Riverside is a landmark place for Woolwich and we expect it to be a big draw for a variety of prospective tenants. With Crossrail set to have a big influence on accessibility to and from the centre of London, this will only increase its appeal.”

Lyndon Nunn, Berkeley Homes Sales Director, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Knight Frank to Royal Arsenal Riverside and joining our ever-growing, well known commercial occupiers that include Crossrail, Barclays Bank, Marks and Spencer, Youngs, Stephen James BMW Mini, Sainsburys and Tesco. Royal Arsenal Riverside has undergone a massive transformation over the last 15 years and attracting companies like Knight Frank to the area is testament to this impact and the needs of the area as a whole.”
