ANSWERS:
Q1. b) Bulgaria at 10%, whilst Ireland is at 12.5% and Luxembourg is at 27.08% (KPMG corporate tax rates table). However, official headline and effective rate can be very different. Furthermore there are plenty of states and ‘havens’ in Europe where the taxation rate is negotiated at significantly lower levels dependent upon the potential tax levy by the state. These places include the cantons in Switzerland, Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, and Monacco
Q2. c) Amsterdam was selected recently after being tied on votes with Milan. Amsterdam won after it was pulled out of a hat.
