Those looking for the best international property investments will be able to find plenty of them in Bulgaria's capital city of Sofia, property investment consultancy Emerging Real Estate has said.
Director Deborah Fox said the market in the city was "buoyant" and was being bolstered by an undersupply of property in the most popular areas, which, she said, were seeing substantial growth for investors.
She added: "Any investors who are looking for good capital growth, and for rentals, should be looking in the best areas in Sofia."
Ms Fox said these included districts such as Lozenetz, Iztok and Doctor's Gardens, noting: "Those are the real quality areas that people are looking for."
House prices in Bulgaria rose by 7.5 per cent in the third quarter of last year alone, according to figures from the National Statistical Institute, the Sofia echo reported.
