The quality of property for sale in Spain has risen since the end of the boom there, it has been suggested.
Many estate agents in the country are concentrating on the best property in the country to ensure they make a sale, Homes Worldwide has reported.
It quotes surveyors CB Richard Ellis in saying that the situation is in contrast with the boom years when "mistakes and inferior products went unnoticed", leading to some substandard property being built and sold.
Now, Mark Stucklin of Spanish Property Insight told the portal: "Only well located property with genuine appeal is selling."
Such a situation may mean it is easier for international property investors to find top-quality property when searching in Spain.
In a move which may be related to the trend, one Spanish construction firm, Casas de Lorca, is allowing customers to design a villa before it is bought, something which may make it more saleable in the future, Easier reports.
