A major new property development that comprises both commercial and residential elements has been proposed for Norwich.
The £125 million plan would see 300 homes and 17,000 sq ft of office space being constructed alongside a new hotel, supermarket and leisure facilities at a site once partly occupied by a shoe factory, Property Week reports.
Developers Targetfollow already own the 485,000 sq ft site on the south side of the city centre and say the proposal would fulfil the aim of creating a new district as set out in the council's 2004 Local Replacement Plan.
The district would be known as Harford Place.
According to the city council the current population of Norwich is 121,000.
Last week the same magazine reported that Crest Nicholson had applied for permission to create a £500 million mixed-use retail and residential development on the banks of the River Itchen in Southampton.
