Grimsby Town Football Club has announced it has struck a deal with a property developer for a project that will include a new stadium.
It has appointed Castlemore Securities as partners in the deal, which will see the club move from its existing Blundell Park ground in Cleethorpes.
The new £81 million venue will also include office, retail and leisure facilities.
Grimsby Town chairman John Fenty said: "The appointment of Castlemore to work in partnership with us will enable the project to be moved forward through the planning process."
The deal is the latest instance of a football club moving to a new stadium with facilities built in which can help generate more income from various sources.
Earlier this week Liverpool FC were granted planning permission for a new stadium, while their neighbours Everton have plans to move to a new ground in Kirkby as part of a plan to redevelop the town centre.
