Investors will increasingly return to the UK commercial property market as it represents a more stable prospect than stocks and shares at a time of volatile financial markets.
Jonathan Wright, a real estate lawyer with law firm Reed Smith Richards Butler, told the Birmingham Post that Britain has for several years been attracting overseas investment in its property and this sector may be increasingly seen as a safe haven in the present climate.
He added: "The big German funds are also coming back to the UK property market again, because the yields have begun to look more attractive to them."
Mr Wright added that despite the "doom and gloom" in some quarters, many property projects were continuing to do well, particularly those with a long-term or local focus.
Meanwhile, a property economist has said it is reasonable to argue that the recent dip in property prices may have left it "much more fairly valued" than six months ago.
Ed Stansfield of Capital Economics stated that such a view holds "a fair amount of water", smallbusiness.co.uk reports.
