The commercial property sector in the city of Birmingham has suffered under the credit crunch but is still seeing plenty of activity and reasons to be positive, it has been stated.
Speaking to the Birmingham Post, management consultancy Faithful+Gould's head of property Andy Speight commented: "In terms of commercial property, there is nearly always activity and so we have no reason to be despondent."
He said his company, which has 150 employees in the city, was currently involved in a range of projects there, these being a mix of public and private sector ventures.
The current situation, he suggested, was not a cause for pessimism at all, being "just a blip in an otherwise healthy and blooming city".
In January this year development body Urban Initiatives said it will reveal a blueprint for the large-scale redevelopment of the city centre, Property Week reported.
